Responsible to develop a team charged with the production and oversight of the CAEDP professional certification designation earned by individuals to qualify to competently perform a full-mouth-balance or equilibration. This profession-wide acknowledgment of equine dental educational achievement is in part, intended to confirm the application of a pre-determined professional standards-of-practice, increase the level of practice, to safeguard the public interest and intended to be portable to all places a certified professional equine dentist might work.
Certified Sedation Course Co-Director:

Responsible to develop and provide oversight for a veterinary facilitated educational course with a pre-determined Nationally recognized curriculum, complete with a list of enrollment pre-requites.
Clinical Research Director:
Debbie Speer, Cdn-CEqDP
Responsible to develop a qualified research team comprised of a group of Certified Equine Dental Practitioners committed to working together towards a common research goal for each research project.
Current projects:
- How does proper full-mouth-balance or equilibration influence the hyoid apparatus’ function; and
- Proper balance in the mouth influences a horse’s response while working with EAL programs.
Continuing Education Director:

Responsible to provide updates to the board on CAEDP professional continuing education as an opportunity to access training that will develop the skills and knowledge Equine Dental professionals required for continuity, proficiency and greater success in the workplace. Seek board approval by IAED, EDPA and CAEDP to allow universal continuing education credits for all certified equine dentists worldwide. Also to include Australia, England and Germany.
Disciplinary Matters Co-Directors:

Responsible to develop a team charged with the oversight of any possible grievance issues. Director is responsible to organize an Ad Hoc Committee when the Association receives any matter requiring board action.
Legislation Director:

The Legislative Director is tasked with monitoring National legislative issues directly relating to the profession of equine dentistry and presenting any such issue for board action. Responsible to develop an extensive team of Court Qualified EqD Experts.

Responsible to develop a team charged with marketing the Association and its activities.
Membership Co-Directors:

Responsible for developing a team charged with providing annual membership renewal notification to registered members; a periodic invitation to non-members to join the Association; and provide updated information to board-approved educational facilities for all Canadian registrants.
Pre-Certification Wet Lab Director:

Responsible to provide updates to the board on all professional CAEDP Sanctioned Equine Dentistry Standards of Practice Wet Labs. Wet Labs provide a blend of lectures, demonstrations, one-on-one instruction, live horses, debriefing and evaluation in preparation for enrollment of the CAEDP Professional Certification Practical Examination.
Professional Liability Insurance for Canadian EqD Practitioners Director:

Responsible to organize a team charged with developing a Professional Provincial Liability Insurance, required for all Canadian Equine Dental Practitioners to practice.
Preapproved, CAEDP Recognized Equine Dental School Director:
Braden Burnier, Cdn-CAEqDP, IAED-EqD
Responsible to develop a team charged with pre-approving Equine dental educational facilities for board approval for Canadian Equine Dental Practitioner attendance. Team is required to confirm the syllabus meets CAEDP’s objectives prior to presenting for board approval. Provide schools with Canadian equine dental certification options.
Provincial License to Practice Director:

Responsible to organize a team charged with developing a Professional Provincial License to Practice, required for all Canadian Equine Dental Practitioners to practice.
